How to Take the Perfect Wellness Vacation to Saint Lucia

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - August 13, 2024

One of Saint Lucia’s top hotel collections has launched a major new push into the wellness space.

Saint Lucia’s Bay Gardens Resorts has launched a new program called Weeks of Wellness, aimed at helping guests “embrace rejuvenation.”

The new program, which runs Sept. 19-27, includes an array of wellness options, each tailored for different aspects of health.

That includes daily yoga sessions, beginning with sunrise yoga on the beach; a range of spa treatments at the La Mer Spa. Think coconut sea salt scrubs, aloe vera body wraps and the ever-popular Lucian Ginger and Lime massage.

Then there are nutritional workshops: instructors will educate you on the art of healthy eating, from the benefits of local superfoods to ways to create balanced, nutritious meals.

The fitness program is robust: aquarobics and more, with professional trainers on hand to provide “personalized attention” for your sessions.

The program also gives you access to the gym and the resorts’ Splash Island Water Park on Reduit Beach, the only open water park on the island.

“The Weeks of Wellness program isn’t just limited to the physical and mental well-being

of guests,” said Sanovnik Destang, executive director of the Bay Gardens Group. “As part of the program, guests also can discover the culture of Saint Lucia through a range of activities” says Sanovnik Destang, Executive Director of the Bay Gardens group. This includes experiencing the rhythms of traditional music and dance

and discovering the complexities of the island’s history through various optional tours

and excursions.”
