American Airlines Is Adding More Cancun Flights This Winter
While Cancun’s passenger traffic has been sliding of late, it remains one of the most popular destinations in the hemisphere.
This winter, American Airlines has announced plans to add even more flights oto Cancun, with an increase from two cities in the United States: Miami and Phoenix.
Beginning in November, American will be increasing its Phoenix-Cancun service to two daily flights, with the expansion set to take effect on Nov. 5.
For the peak holiday season, American will also be ramping up its Miami-Cancun service, with a total of six daily flights between Dec. 19 and Jan. 6, 2025, the carrier confirmed in a statement provided to Caribbean Journal.
It’s part of a bigger Caribbean expansion for American Airlines this winter that will see expanded service on 16 different flights from the US to the Caribbean-Mexico region.
