WestJet Is Adding More Flights to Cancun, Puerto Vallarta
Canadian carrier WestJet is ramping up capacity to two of Mexico’s hottest destinations, Caribbean Journal has learned.
The airline is ramping up flights from Winnipeg to Cancun to seven weekly flights — a 40 percent increase compared to last winter.
WestJet is also going to be flying seven weekly flights between Winnipeg and Puerto Vallarta, itself a 17 percent jump.
The company says it is planning an overall increase to “sun destinations” in the Caribbean and Mexico for the upcoming winter tourist season – and Winnipeg is seeing the biggest increase of any airport in Western Canada.
The airline is maintaining its two weekly flights between Winnipeg and another top Caribbean destination, Montego Bay.
