United Airlines Is Launching New Nonstop Flights to Belize

The river lodges. The blue hole. The Maya history. The reefs. If you haven’t been to Belize, you’re missing one of the Caribbean’s most beautiful, adventure-filled destinations. 

And now with another new flight, it’s easier to get there than ever before. 

United Airlines and Belize have announced the launch of a new nonstop flight from San Francisco, opening up an important source market for a destination that its he fastest-growing in the Caribbean right now.

The new nonstop flight between San Francisco and Belize City will kick off on Dec. 21, 2024, Caribbean Journal has confirmed. 

“Belize is delighted to welcome this new direct flight from San Francisco with United Airlines,” said Anthony Mahler, Minister of Tourism and Diaspora Relations for Belize. “This new route opens a world of possibilities for travelers seeking adventure, relaxation, and cultural immersion in a remarkable and unique destination. We are confident this new flight will significantly boost tourism arrivals from the San Francisco Bay area and further strengthen the ties between Belize and the United States of America.”

This will be the fifth United nonstop route to Belize, joining existing service from US Cities including Newark, Houston Denver and Chicago.

The flight is also timed to help connect the Belize flights with cities like Taipei, Hong Kong and Singapore, helping to open up Belize to the Asian market, which has strong airlift to San Francisco already.
