There’s a New Way to Fly to Saint Martin

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - June 16, 2024

The beach bars, the world-class eateries, the boutique hotels, the breezy Gallic brand of cool. The French side of St Martin remains one of the Caribbean’s richest, most dynamic places to visit.

And now, thanks to new airlift, it’s easier than ever to get there.

Low-cost carrier Frontier Airlines has launched a new nonstop flight between San Juan and the island’s Princess Juliana International Airport, meaning travelers in 17 different US cities can purchase St Martin tickets, check their bags all the way through, take a short stopover in San Juan and then fly right to the Friendly Island.

The new service, part of a bigger Caribbean expansion for Frontier out of San Juan (where the company just opened a new crew base), officially began this month.

San Juan-St Maarten flights are operating twice per week.

So what does it cost to get there?

Right now, fares start at $59, with availability at that price running through June 21.

Are you planning a vacation to French Saint Martin?

You can enjoy Grand Case, the beach town that is the culinary capital of the Caribbean; the hip beach bar scene on Orient Bay; the stunning villas in places like Terres Basses; or head to the island’s greatest resort, the Grand Case Beach Club
