Princess Cruises has another ship headed for the Caribbean this winter season.

The new Sun Princess, what the company bills as its “newest and most innovative” ship, has already officially debuted in the Mediterranean ahead of its Caribbean winter.

The 4,300-guest ship will be heading to Fort Lauderdale in October for what will be its first Caribbean season.

The ship has some new additions for the brand: The Dome, a glass-enclosed space at the top of the ship; a new atrium called Sphere; and a central “Piazza” hub.

That’s along with 30 different dining concepts, including Makoto Ocean, an eatery designed by artist Romero Britto and a steakhouse by world-famous butcher Dario Cecchini (who also has a Caribbean eatery at the Baha Mar resort in Nassau).

Notably, Sun Princes will have the company’s biggest casino, along with a bi-level spa called Lotus and a large retail space with more than 200 brands on offer.

But the biggest story isn’t the ship itself — it’s the fuel.

Sun Princess is the first-ever LNG-powered ship for Princess Cruises.
