Anguilla breaks ground this week on a major new airport terminal, with plans for a 50,000-square-foot space slated to make its debut in the fall of 2025.

The new terminal will be able to accommodate as many as 215 passengers at peak hours, according to tourism officials.

That’s along with plans for an extended runway to 7,000 feet as part of a multi-phased redevelopment.

“We are transforming the CJLIA into a modern, state-of-the-art facility,” said Jabari Harrigan, executive airport manager at the Clayton J Lloyd International Airport in Anguilla.

Anguilla welcomed its first-ever nonstop flights from the United States on American Airlines back in 2021.

The most stylish way to arrive in Anguilla, though, remains service on Tradewind Aviation’s luxury schedule flights out of San Juan.
