It will be the second "Royal Beach Club" in the Caribbean.

Royal Caribbean already has one “Royal Beach Club” in development, a 17-acre destination in The Bahamas. Now, the cruise giant has announced plans for second one, this time in the Mexican Caribbean.

The newest Royal Beach Club will be set on the island of Cozumel, with plans to debut in 2026.

The beach club will be in line with Royal Caribbean’s private destinations: multiple pools, swim-up spots, eateries and cabanas, along with wateresports and programming like tequila tastings and cooking lessons.

The decision to open something on the Mexican Caribbean is not insignificant, adding a new private destination for the company’s Western Caribbean itineraries.

That will complement Royal’s traditional stronghold in the Eastern Caribbean, anchored by its popular Perfect Day at CocoCay private island in The Bahamas.

Royal Caribbean also provided an update on its Royal Beach Club Paradise Island, which is targeting a 2025 opening date.

“Cozumel is an incredible destination, and the beach club will perfectly complement all the island has to offer,” said Michael Bayley, president and CEO, Royal Caribbean International, in a statement.
