The special venue will be unveiled during the Cricket World Cup.

The twin-island destination of Antigua and Barbuda has a total of 365 beaches — or, as the islands like to put it, a beach for every day of the year.

But what about leap years like 2024?

Acknowledging what Antigua and Barbuda is calling an “oversight” in not having a 366th beach, the destination says it is launching a special “Beach 366, set to be unveiled at Antigua’s Sir Vivian Richards cricket stadium in time for the upcoming hosting of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in June.

“The launch of Beach 366 during the cricket World Cup is more than just an addition to the islands’ already impressive array of beaches; it’s a celebration of community, sport, and the unique quirks of the calendar. Antigua and Barbuda extend a warm invitation to cricket fans, leap year babies, and travelers from all walks of life to join in this one-of-a-kind event for 2024.  Get ready to be captivated by exciting cricket, while enjoying the vibes and exclusiveness of Beach 366”, said CEO of the Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority, Colin C. James.

Beach 366 will be a hub for cricket-related activities, with a unique spot to relax, celebrate and engage with cricket in a beachfront setting.

That will include special cricket-themed events, celebrations of Antiguan and Barbuda culture, and special treatment for leap year babies.

Those born on Feb. 29 will received exclusive benefits, including fast track service at the airport and special recognition.
