The new W Hotel is expected to open this year in Punta Cana.

The first-ever all-inclusive W Hotel in the Caribbean is opening this year in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, Caribbean Journal has learned.

The hotel, part of a broad expansion for parent company Marriott International, is on the list of expected 2024 openings in the region for the brand.

The hotel in the Dominican Republic’s most popular destination is not yet taking reservations, however, according to its Web site.

The new W will have all of the signatures you expect from the brand: a “Wet Deck” restaurant, a “Fit” gym and fitness center and a buzzing pool scene, among other touches.

It will be part of the All-Inclusive by Marriott Bonvoy portfolio, and one of several Marriott all-inclusive in the Dominican Republic, joining the Sanctuary Cap Cana resort and the Royalton Punta Cana, among others.

Marriott now has all-inclusives in nine different destinations in the wider Caribbean-Mexico region.
