The beloved Boardwalk Boutique Hotel in Aruba is making a major change beginning next year, Caribbean Journal has learned.

The Palm Beach-area hotel is officially becoming an adults-only retreat beginning Jan. 1, 2025.

“The decision to cater exclusively to adults aged 18 and above stems from Boardwalk’s commitment to curate an atmosphere of chilled-out tranquility,” the hotel said in a statement.

That’s precisely what the hotel has cultivated with its leafy, lush oasis of a resort consisting of 49 rooms and casitas, along with a dedicated beach club on Palm Beach with regular golf-cart shuttle service for guests.

The move makes sense when you visit the property, which is a decidedly serene, tranquil property, one that has taken decades to expertly cultivate.

“Our commitment to making guests happy, by providing an intentional, laid-back luxury experience, has always been at the core of Boarwalk’s identity,” said Stephanie Rooijakkers, co-owner and manager of the hotel.

She said the move was in response to “constant feedback” from guests encouraging the hotel to “lean in to Boardwalk’s relaxing and naturally romantic setting.”

The hotel will be officially saying goodbye to its kids policy effective Dec. 16., 2024.
