Hyatt is opening a pair of new all-inclusive resorts in Cancun this year, with the planned debut of the Dreams Grand Island resort and an adjacent Hyatt Vivid resort, Caribbean Journal has learned.

Dreams Grand Island will have 616 rooms as another expansion for the ever-popular Dreams brand.

Also debuting this year will be the first-ever Hyatt Vivid in the Caribbean: the Hyatt Vivid Grand Island, which will have 400 rooms and an adults-only concept.

The massive dual-resort complex will include more than 19 different dining concepts, along with several pools, a beach destination and a 26,000-square-foot wellness center, among the amenities.

Both resorts are part of Hyatt’s growing Inclusive Collection.

Hyatt is opening another Mexican Caribbean resort this year with the planned debut of the Secrets Playa Blanca Costa Mujeres, set in an area often called the “New Cancun.”
