2023 Was a Very Strong Year for Caribbean Hotels

Hotel occupancy continues to improve across the Caribbean, according to the latest data from analytics firm STR. 

The region’s hotel occupancy finished 2023 at 65.6 percent, up 7.5 percent from 2022, according to the report. In the same period, average daily rates rose to $329.37, an increase of almost 12 percent.

Revenue per available room rose by a whopping 20.1 percent in 2023, finishing the year at $215.97. 

It was a strong, across-the-board improvement for the wider region in 2023, as the Caribbean continues to show its resilience in the post-pandemic period. 

STR’s data surveyed 2,091 hotels in the wider Caribbean comprising more than 280,000 rooms.
