Montego Bay, Jamaica has a major new adults-only, all-inclusive resort: Hideaway at Royalton Blue Waters, which held its grand opening this week.

The property, which is part of Marriott’s Autograph Collection portfolio, began welcoming guests in the middle of last month.

It’s the most significant new resort in Jamaica for parent Blue Diamond since the company opened its Royalton Negril resort back in 2017.

So what is Hideaway at Royalton Blue Waters like?

The property has 352 rooms and suites, including an enhanced Diamond Club premium wing, one that includes a dedicated lounge, butler service and other amenities. The resort has a total of 10 different dining concepts, with everything from an Italian trattoria to a jerk hut to a Tex-Mex eatery called Armadillo.

That also features one of the brand’s popular culinary experiences: C/X, which, for an added fee, includes a seven-course menu and cocktail pairing hosted by a personal chef.

There’s, naturally, a spa, along with the option for private cabanas and, even a private “islet” just offshore for more exclusive beach days. The all-inclusive program has 24-7 room service and daily entertainment and activities.

Guests at Hideaway also have access to the amenities, facilities and inclusions at the adjacent Royalton Blue Waters resort, a family-friendly property.

Most notably, it’s yet another new addition to Marriott’s rapidly-expanding collection of all-inclusive resorts, dubbed All-Inclusive by Marriott Bonvoy. Marriott is one of several high-profile hotel brands like Hyatt and Hilton that have jumped head-first into the all-inclusive space, focused on surging demand for all-inclusive vacations in the Caribbean region.

That includes a significant strategic alliance with Royalton, many of whose all-inclusive resorts in the Caribbean are now included the Autograph Collection, and, perhaps more importantly, can be booked using Bonvoy points.

In all, Marriott’s Caribbean and Mexico all-inclusive network has 30 different properties, from Antigua to Grenada to Cancun.
