JetBlue is now flying to a new destination: the rainforest-filled, reef-lined, beach-covered hotspot of Belize.

The increasingly popular getaway on the Caribbean coast of Mexico will soon be served by nonstop service from New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport.

The new flight between JFK and Belize City will kick off on Dec. 6, with flights on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays.

“We are thrilled to welcome JetBlue’s first-ever flight to Belize in December. The service comes at a perfect time as New Yorkers seek warm-weather holiday options” Anthony Mahler, Belize’s Minister of Tourism and Diaspora Relations. “This nonstop flight from JFK, which serves more than 61 million travelers annually, is a huge win for our ongoing efforts to make Belize accessible to more U.S. visitors.

The launch will come after JetBlue just added another Caribbean getaway, St Kitts, earlier this month.

Belize is one of the most diverse places to visit in the wider Caribbean region, from beach Ambergris Caye to its vibrant Mayan history to some of the best snorkeling and diving on earth.
