United Airlines is launching a new nonstop route to the Caribbean this week, Caribbean Journal has learned.

The carrier is kicking off a new route between Denver and Montego Bay, Jamaica, the company confirmed.

The new route, which launches Nov. 4, comes after the recent launch of service between Denver and another Caribbean hotspot, San Juan.

It’s part of a growing trend of Caribbean routes out of the western United States, concentrated in Colorado and California.

United also announced an expansion of Mexico service, with plans for up to two daily flights between San Francisco and both Puerto Vallarta and San Jose del Cabo.
