Grenada is hotter than ever, and we’re not talking about the temperature.

The island is seeing sizzling tourism numbers as travelers, particularly luxury visitors, flock to the destination for its unique blend of authenticity, natural beauty and barefoot elegance.

That’s along with a dynamic culinary scene (and even the Caribbean’s most exciting new rum distillery).

Now, getting to Grenada is about to become an even more seamless experience, with the launch of JetBlue’s first-ever flights between Boston and Grenada

Beginning Nov. 4, JetBlue will be launching nonstop flights once-weekly on Saturdays between Boston Logan and Grenada’s Maurice Bishop International Airport.

The new service will run year-round on Airbus A321 service with 159 seats including, notably, the carrier’s outstanding Mint premium cabin service. The latter will include 16 lie-flat seats.

JetBlue already operates daily flights between New York and Grenada.

It’s part of a growing network of flights to the island, including daily flights from both Miami to Grenada on American Airlines, and American’s weekly Saturday service from Charlotte.

The launch comes up ahead of several high-profile events, including the Grenada Rugby World 7s Tournament at the end of November and the Carriacou Parang Festival in December.

It’s also well-timed with the seasonal reopening of Grenada’s premier luxury resort, the Spice Island Beach Resort, one of the top all-inclusive resorts anywhere in the Caribbean. Spice, as it’s known by its devoted fans, reopens on Nov. 1.
