It’s fall, the kids are back in school. Travel is calmer and it’s time for the perfect relaxing Caribbean getaway. If you’ve been paying attention, adults-only resorts, particularly those of the all-inclusive variety, are hotter than ever in the Caribbean, as more and more adult-focused resorts open and others convert to adults-only. Travelers are clearly placing a premium on the serenity and exclusivity of the adults-only experience, and there’s no better place to find these sorts of resorts than the Caribbean.
We’ve curated 15 of our favorite adults-only all-inclusive resorts across the Caribbean, from boutique properties in romantic hotspots like Antigua and Saint Lucia to larger adults-only hotels in bigger destinations like the Dominican Republic and Nassau. Antigua dominates this list (something we covered in our recent story naming it the Honeymoon Capital of the Caribbean), and it’s no surprise given its surfeit of precisely these kinds of resorts.
The properties on this list are all very different, but they will all guarantee you the essence of the adults-only experience: some much-needed alone time for you and yours. Note: we limited our selections to exclusively all-inclusive properties, as opposed to EP hotels with all-inclusive packages.
The Verandah, Antigua The Caribbean’s newest adults-only resort will officially open its doors on Nov. 17, following a transformation into a cutting-edge adult property with an impressive slate of amenities, from pickleball courts to four different pools to two beaches and an adult-friendly mini-golf course. It’s the best of both worlds: a serene, tropical retreat where you never run out of things to do.
Hammock Cove, Antigua This boutique jewel in Antigua has 42 rooms, all of which are standalone cottage-style villas with their own private infinity plunge pools and sweeping interiors with stunning bathrooms. That’s along with a lovely beach and a Michelin-pedigree dining program.
Calabash Cove, Saint Lucia This 26-room retreat is still one of the best-kept secrets in Saint Lucia, with mix of suites and cottages, all with ocean views. It’s serene and relaxing, with a charming beach and a lovely spa.
Warwick Paradise Island Bahamas Set on beautiful Nassau Harbour, this Paradise Island resort is fun, energetic and bright, with a beautiful main pool, an always-bustling living-room-style lobby and excellent food. It’s the perfect jumping off point to explore hotter-than-ever Nassau Paradise Island.
Galley Bay, Antigua Set on its own peninsula in Antigua, this is an adults-only all-inclusive for nature lovers, with spectacularly beautiful grounds (including a lagoon), one of the best beaches in Antigua and an endlessly romantic ambience.
Keyonna Beach Resort, Antigua This barefoot-chic boutique is filled with Antiguan personality, with lovely cottages, some with their own private plunge pools, authentic, locally-sourced food and Bali beds right on the beach.
The House, Barbados We’ve always loved this clubby Platinum Coast getaway, famous for its champagne breakfasts and torch-lit evenings on the sand. There’s just a cool character to this place, one that begins the moment you cross the wooden drawbridge-style entrance.
Cocobay, Antigua Some of the best views in Antigua can be found at this adults-only getaway set on a stunning multi-level cliffside at the edge of Valley Church Beach. Make sure you splurge for one of the pool suites.
Sanctuary Cap Cana, Dominican Republic Marriott’s top Punta Cana-area all-inclusive is a uniquely designed, exquisitely run luxury resort that recently completed a massive renovation. We’re particularly fond of the swim-up rooms.
Sandals Royal Curacao The newest Sandals in the Caribbean is another example of the brand’s continued innovation, from a new dine-around option to some of the coolest new rooms in the Caribbean: the Awa Seaside Bungalows, all of which have private infinity pools right at the edge of the sand.
Serenity at Coconut Bay Saint Lucia This adults-only enclave adjacent to the popular Coconut Bay resort in southern Saint Lucia in many ways began the trend of all-suite, all-plunge-pool Caribbean resorts, and it’s still a terrific option for couples looking for a private escape.
Escape at Nonsuch Bay, Antigua This is one of the most remote settings in Antigua, and that’s what makes it such a deliciously secluded vacation option. There’s an almost ethereal quality to Nonsuch Bay, where the suites have their own plunge pools and some of the best sunset vistas on the whole island.
Divi Carina Bay St Croix Yes, there are all-inclusive resorts in the US Virgin Islands, even for adults. Divi’s new-look Carina Bay has been redesigned around the adult experience, with a lovely beach, an on-site casino and a beautiful beachfront pool. It’s also home to Divi’s elevated Oceans brand, a resort-within-a-resort concept that includes upgraded amenities, high-end toiletries and espresso machines in the rooms.
The Caves, Jamaica It’s hard to find anywhere cooler than the cliffs of Negril, and at the cottages of the Caves you’re immersed in this mystical Caribbean destination. The food is authentically Jamaican and fantastic; the spa is as good as it gets; and the Blackwell Rum Bar is, well, you get the point.
Secrets Cap Cana Secrets’ flagship Dominican Republic property has long set the standard in the Dominican Republic, with a prime location in the heart of exclusive Cap Cana (a stone’s throw from one of the best golf courses in the Caribbean, Punta Espada, and some terrific swim-up rooms to boot.

Treasure Beach, Barbados Another Marriott all-inclusive on the Platinum Coast, this sleek, stylish boutique has just 35 suites; it’s a bit like your own private club on the West Coast, epitomizing the island’s elegance and gentility. Hideaway at Royalton Blue Waters The newest addition to Royalton’s growing portfolio in the Caribbean, Hideaway, which will be part of Marriott’s Autograph Collection, will have 352 suites, 12 eateries, 11 bars and the kind of active, entertainment-filled programming for which the brand is famous.
Secrets Tulum Resort and Beach Club Yes, you can even find all-inclusive, adults-only options in the boho hotspot of Tulum in the Mexican Caribbean. The newest addition? The 300-suite Secrets Tulum, a strikingly-designed jungle retreat that also comes with its own beach club. (There’s also a luxury villa available for a bigger splurge).
