German airline Condor is launching year-round flights to the island of Barbados, Caribbean Journal has learned.

The airline is broadening what had been seasonal service between Frankfurt and Barbados into a full-year operation.

“We are pleased to announce that the Condor arrangement will extend beyond winter to become a year-round service,” said Barbados Tourism Minister Ian Gooding-Edghill. “This is a major accomplishment for the BTMI considering the global challenges associated with airlift as it will increase the capacity for Europe.”

The Condor expansion is part of the airline’s further growth in the Caribbean that now includes another destination: Tobago.

Beginning Nov. 7, Condor will be launching flights between Frankfurt and Tobago, with flights once weekly.
