Norwegian Cruise Line has officially launched what will be its newest cruise ship in the Caribbean.

The new Norwegian Viva welcomed its firsts guests in Europe this week, the second ship in its new Prima class.

Norwegian Viva will be heading to San Juan, Puerto Rico this December, where it will be home-porting for a season of Caribbean voyages.

“Norwegian Viva’s tagline is ‘Live it Up,’ and I have no doubt our guests will be doing just that while they cruise to some of the liveliest cities in Europe and the Caribbean during the ship’s inaugural season,” said David J. Herrera, president of Norwegian Cruise Line.

The ship includes several new additions for the brand, including the Viva Speedway, a three-level racetrack; a food hall called Indulge with 11 different eateries; and what the company calls the “fastest slides at sea.”

That’s along with NCL’s “sustainable cocktail bar,” the Metropolitan.

Other amenities include a multimillion-dollar sculpture garden; an interactive 52-foot-wide art piece by British artist Dominic Harris; and even showings of Beetlejuice The Musical.
