If you’ve been to Maundays Bay in Anguilla, you know it’s one of the best beaches you’ll find anywhere in the Caribbean, with an almost blindingly white, ethereal kind of sand. It also just so happens to be home to one of the island’s top luxury resorts: Belmond Cap Juluca.
While the resort has always has boasted a beautiful spa, Cap Juluca is upping the ante later this year with the launch of a new wellness destination in partnership with Guerlain.
The new Cap Juluca Spa by Guerlain, slated to debut in “late 2023,” will feature a “harmonious connection with nature and a rebalance of energy,” as the property describes it.
The spa, designed by Rottet Studio, who led the makeover of the resort in 2018, will be anchored by an open-air courtyard with a central fountain, a light-filled reception area and ocean-view treatment rooms.
The property will also have a pool deck, a solarium and a “Calichi Garden,” named after the Arawak fountain.
It will be one of just three Guerlain-branded spas in the Caribbean, all at Belmond hotels, joining the ones at the Cheval Blanc St Barth and the soon-to-relaucnh Maroma, a Belmond Hotel in the Mexican Caribbean.
