It’s one of the most popular destinations in the Caribbean and a haven for all-inclusive resorts — but Montego Bay, Jamaica doesn’t have a surfeit of resorts specifically for adults. That is about to change.

This summer, Blue Diamond Resorts and Marriott are opening the new Hideaway at Royalton Blue Waters, a new resort that will be part of Marriott’s Autograph Collection.

The resort, set about 35 minutes from Montego Bay’s Sangster International Airport, is set to open its doors in November, according to Blue Diamond. The 352-room-and-suite resort will be adjacent to the existing Royalton Blue Waters family-friendly resort, another addition for an island that is off to a sizzling start in the first five months of 2023.

This week, Hideaway at Royalton Blue Waters officially opened its reservation system, Caribbean Journal has learned.

“Jamaica has always been an essential destination for Blue Diamond Resorts, where we have established ourselves as leaders in the all-inclusive segment. With the addition of Hideaway at Royalton Blue Waters, we continue to expand our portfolio, offering even more options to cater to the unique preferences and needs of each traveler,” said Jordi Pelfort, President of Blue Diamond Resorts.

The newest addition to the north coast of Jamaica will have 11 eateries across a range of international cuisines, from Indian to Tex-Mex to authentic West Indian — and even a jerk hut right on the sand.

The property will have special pool and all of the beach sections, a dedicated lobby, a Diamond Club lounge, along with 13 different bars.

Hideaway will also include access to The Royal Spa and all of the offerings at Royalton Blue Waters, which is also part of the Autograph Collection.

That means both resorts are part of Marriott’s Bonvoy program, too.

The Royalton brand has been adding a number of new resorts in the wider Caribbean, accompanying its alliance with Marriott’s All-Inclusive program; that includes the popular Royalton Splash Riviera Cancun, which opened its doors at the end of 2022.

“We’re proud to bring our expertise and exceptional service to our newest adults-only resort, and we look forward to providing guests with unforgettable experiences,” Pelfort said.
