They are two of the most popular destinations in The Bahamas right now: Eleuthera and Abaco, and now they are getting even easier to visit.

Silver Airways, which has a strong network of flights in both The Bahamas and the wider Caribbean, is launching a pair of new nonstop routes to The Bahamas next week.

That includes new service from Orlando, Fla. to both North Eleuthera International Airport and Marsh Harbour International Airport in Abaco.

Both routes will begin operating on May 20, Silver confirmed this week.

The carrier is launching both routes with specials: for those who book by May 31, one-way fares are as low as $89 for travel between May 20 and Aug. 12.

“We’re thrilled to announce new routes from Orlando to the breathtaking destinations of Marsh Harbour and Eleuthera,” the company said in a statement.

Indeed, both islands have been part of The Bahamas’ dramatic tourism renaissance, with travelers continue to visit both Out Islands in large numbers.

That includes the diverse natural environment and pristine beaches of Eleuthera (and Harbour Island off the island’s northern coast) and the boating hub of Abaco, which includes mainstays like Marsh Harbour and South Abaco and beloved little islands like Green Turtle Cay, Great Guana Cay and Elbow Cay, among others.

Eleuthera in particular has been buzzing of late, with recently announced projects like the new Ritz-Carlton Reserve and, more recently, a new residential community with golf courses designed by both Jack Nicklaus and Tiger Woods — the only one of its kind in the world.

Just to the south, the Cape Eleuthera resort has become one of the hottest places to stay anywhere in The Bahamas, a haven for beach lovers, boaters and fishermen (and home to one of the most beautiful sandbars anywhere in The Bahamas).
