Condor Is Relaunching Its Tobago Flights

Germany is a top tourism market for Tobago.

German airline Condor is relaunching its service between Germany and Tobago this winter, Caribbean Journal has learned.

The airline will be resuming direct flights between Frankfurt Airport and Tobago’s ANR Robinson International Airport beginning Nov. 7, 2023.

Flights will be available for booking beginning May 1; the service will operate throughout the winter 2023-2024 season.

“The weekly flight service from Frankfurt will not only cater for the continued demand among German-speaking customers in Tobago, but will also support the vast marketing activities of the Tobago Tourism Agency in its strategy to expand share in and increase arrival numbers from its second main source market.”

Condor will be operating the service on its A330-900neo aircraft.

“We are absolutely delighted to welcome Condor Airlines back to Tobago as we seek to make it even easier for our German visitors to access and experience everything our unspoiled island has to offer. The return of this flight acknowledges the relevance of the destination for the German-speaking market and paves the way for us to initiate accelerated marketing plans,” said Alicia Edwards, executive chairman of the Tobago Tourism Agency.

Tobago is unique in the region in that the island has long focused its efforts on the German market, as opposed to the majority of Caribbean destinations which prioritize the far-closer tourism source markets of United States and Canada.
