Tradewind is expanding in the region.

Leading luxury airline Tradewind Aviation is expanding, in what will be a major boost for those looking for private charters to The Bahamas.

Tradewind is opening a new aircraft base near Palm Beach, Fla in September, expanding on the airline’s recent growth, including the purchase of 20 new Pilatus PC-12 NX aircraft.

That will include private charters between South Florida and The Bahamas, Tradewind confirmed.

Tradewind is already the leading luxury carrier in the Northeastern United States, along with operating a broad network of private and scheduled service in the Caribbean, including its uber-popular San Juan-St Barth service.

The new Palm Beach-area base will open in September with a fleet of Pilatus PC-12 available for on-demand regional travel needs.

Tradewind will be offering its popular Goodspeed Card charter program to the region.

“We are thrilled to be expanding with a new Southeast hub, allowing Tradewind to better serve our growing client base throughout the Southeast,” said Eric Zipkin, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Tradewind Aviation. “With over 20 years of operation, our move into the Southeast will be a big advantage for us and further elevate the Tradewind offering.”

In a statement, the company said the move into the Southeast “will further establish the company as the premier regional-travel  industry leader in the U.S.’ highly competitive private aviation sector.”
