Frontier Just Launched New Flights to Punta Cana, Santo Domingo

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - April 4, 2023

Frontier Airlines has added a pair of new routes to the Dominican Republic, with new service to both Punta Cana and Santo Domingo.

Frontier is now flying out of Tampa International Airport to both destinations; with service twice weekly.

“We’re thrilled to expand our partnership with [Tampa International Airport] on both the domestic and international fronts,” said Daniel Shurz, senior vice president of commercial, Frontier Airlines. “Those across the Tampa Bay region now have even more affordable and convenient options when booking their next flight.”

Frontier said introductory fares to the Dominican Republic would be as low as $129.

That applies to both the Punta Cana and Santo Domingo routes.

They’re the latest additions to Frontier’s fast-expanding network to the Dominican Republic, which has been one the carrier’s top Caribbean destinations since the onset of the pandemic.

They’re also part of a growing Caribbean network out of Tampa, where Frontier also recently added new service to Cancun, Puerto Rico and Jamaica.

“It’s great to see Frontier Airlines continuing to expand its routes at Tampa International Airport,” said Tampa International Airport CEO Joe Lopano.
