Disney Cruise Line is adding a new cruise destination in The Bahamas beginning next year.

In June 2024, the company will begin its first sailings to Lighthouse Point at the southern tip of Eleuthera.

The “vibrant beach retreat” is designed for families, with what Disney said was a “commitment to conservation at its core.”

The first cruise including Lighthouse Point will be a seven-night sailing on Disney Fantasy out of Port Canaveral on June 8, 2024.

That will include two stops at Lighthouse Point and another at Castaway Cay, the company’s other private destination in The Bahamas.

“We are delighted to take families to new places during the summer 2024 season, including our newest island destination at Lighthouse Point in The Bahamas,” said Sharon Siskie, senior vice president and general manager, Disney Cruise Line.

It is the second of two major new cruise destinations coming to The Bahamas, joining Royal Caribbean’s recently-announced Royal Beach Club on Paradise Island
