InterCaribbean Airways is adding more flights between Grenada and Barbados.
Beginning next week, InterCaribbean will be adding more frequencies on the route, up-gauging its aircraft from a 30-seat Embraer 120 to a 48-seat ATR 42.
Grenada continues to rebuild its capacity to on the Barbados-Grenada route, part of Grenada Prime Minister Dickon Mitchell’s push to grow air connectivity in the region.
Barbados is the second-highest-producing tourism market for Grenada.

The expanded route also more access for Grenada to Barbados’ strong international airlift network.
The flights officially begin March 16.

We were challenged with the lack of capacity on the Grenada-Barbados route, which has slowed down the rebound of the Caribbean market and they worked collaboratively with us to find a viable solution. Our work is not done and we expect that in short shrift, the frequency of the operation will increase to twice daily,” said Petra Roach, CEO of the Grenada Tourism Authority.
