German airline Condor is adding more service to the Dominican Republic, Caribbean Journal has learned.
The Dominican Republic has signed an agreement with Condor to guarantee a frequency of eight flights each week from Berlin.
Condor flies to three destinations in the Dominican Republic: Punta Cana, Santo Domingo and Puerto Plata.
That will expand to a total of 10 flights each week during the winter season.
The agreement was signed at the recent ITB Berlin conference by Dominican Republic Tourism Minister David Collado.
“This is very good news for the country,” Collado said. “We appreciate this support from Condor.”
Dominican Republic tourism officials say they are working on guaranteeing more flights from Europe for the summer.
