Hyatt Just Opened Its First Hotel in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico

Hyatt Hotels is opening its first hotel in the charming Mexican city of San Miguel de Allende. 

The new NUMU Boutique Hotel is the first Hyatt-branded hotel in the city, part of the company’s Unbound Collection by Hyatt brand. 

The new hotel is set in the beloved centuries-old city, known for its position as one of Mexico’s “Pueblos Magicos,” or “magical towns.”

The hotel, designed by Mexico’s Artigas Arquitectos, has 44 rooms, including four suites.

Amenities include the Nubye Spa and a pair of restaurants: the gourmet, vegetarian-friendly El Fogon de Don Enrique, and the rooftop restaurant called Maura, mesa de sal [sic]. The focuses on the cuisine of southeastern Mexico, with a strong cocktail menu and 360-degree views of the city. 

There is also a bar, El Caminero, a lobby lounge.

It’s the second Unbound Collection hotel to open in the Caribbean-Mexico region in the last year, following the debut of the new La Compania in Panama’s Casco Viejo.
