The former Ritz-Carlton, Cancun has officially opened its doors as a Kempinski.

The resort has been operating as the Grand Hotel Cancun Managed by Kempinski.

And while there was some confusion over when the Kempinski brand would actually take over, the resort announce the change on social media last week.

The resort is now the Kempinski Hotel Cancun, one of just two Kempinski-branded resorts in the wider Caribbean; the other is the Cabrits Resort Kempinski Dominica.

The 365-room property is set in the heart of Cancun’s popular Hotel Zone, a new brand for a destination that has been among the hottest vacation spots in the world since the onset of the pandemic.
