Anguilla’s Newest Beach Bar Has a Serious Culinary Pedigree

anguilla beach bar new

Sandy Ground: it’s one of the Caribbean’s beach bar capitals, an array of world-class beach bars on a single stretch of sand.

And now Sandy Ground is home to another one: Sandbar, and it’s the brainchild of what has long been one of the best restaurants in the Caribbean: Veya.

Carrie and Jerry Bogar, the team behind Veya, have taken over the bar, with the same high culinary standards but a far more, barefoot, laid-back offering.

The menu is fantastic: think sharable plates like Mahi bites with Carib beer batter, poke tuna, sandbar fries and kung pao cauliflower, to name a few.

From Martinique agricoles like Saint James and J Bally to some rarer Dominican stuff like Jose Marti, among others.

There’s also an excellent rum selection.

It’s all about live music, fresh cockatils and the perfect Anguillian beach.
