Tiger Woods is returning to competition at his Hero World Challenge golf tournament next month in The Bahamas.

The limited-field event is held each year at the exclusive Albany community in New Providence, in which Woods is a co-investor and resident.

This year’s Hero event series will run from Nov. 28-Dec. 4, with a field of 20 top PGA players. The tournament itself runs from Dec. 1-4.

It will mark the first time Woods has competed in professional golf since his emotional turn at the Old Course at St Andrews for the Open Championship this summer.

He is still recovering from the impact of a car accident at the beginning of 2021 in California.

“I am excited to announce that I will be in the field for this year’s Hero World Challenge,” Woods confirmed on Twitter. “See you soon at Albany!”

Woods has long had a home at Albany and has a deep relationship with The Bahamas.

One of his first golf course designs is at the Jack’s Bay development on the Bahamian island of Eleuthera.
