The inaugural season of the Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection in the Caribbean will feature heavily in St Maarten.

Ritz-Carlton’s new ultra-luxe cruise line will include significant home-porting for its Evrima ship out of Port St Maarten for the 2022-2023 cruise season.

The ship will be sailing several of its cruises from St Maarten across the Caribbean to Barbados.

“I welcome the Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection brand with open arms to our shores,” said Omar Ottley, Acting Minster of Tourism for St Maarten. “The ship offers a

specific clientele to our country that goes with the saying quality over quantity.  This is only the beginning of a fruitful relationship to come.”

The 228-suite Evrima is the first of what will be three ships for the new brand, with additional vessels planned to debut in 2024 and 2025.

Most voyages will range from seven to 10 nights.

The company began its first European cruises earlier this month.
