The new-look, beachfront Bonté.

One of Saint Lucia’s top luxury resorts has debuted a new culinary program, buoyed by the rebranding and transformation of two eateries.

Sugar Beach, one of just two Viceroy resorts in the Caribbean, has announced new names, menus and looks for its two signature restaurants.

That includes the new Bonté, which means “good times” in Creole, a beachfront, international eatery with everything from wood-fired pizzas to shrimp tacos and poke bowls.

The new Saltwood focuses on premium cuts of beef.

The eatery, which was completely renovated last year, now has expanded outdoor seating areas where guests can enjoy a true toes-in-the-sand experience.

It’s one of the only toes-in-the-sand options in Saint Lucia.

Sugar Beach has also rebranded the former Great Room restaurant as Saltwood, with a menu focusing on rare cuts of beef including Japanese A5 Wagyu and Australian Wagyu, among others.

Saltwood also has a new open-air bar and lounge space at the former Palm Court Lounge.
