Puerto Rico tourism officials are urging visitors to maintain their planned trips to Puerto Rico following Hurricane Fiona.

“We want to assure visitors, who already planned travel to San Juan, that Puerto Rico is open and safe to travel to,” Discover Puerto Rico CEO Brad Dean said in a statement.

While authorities continue to assess the impacts of the storm, Puerto Rico’s primary air hub, Luis Munoz Marin International Airport, is fully operational.

Old S Old San Juan, La Placita de Santurce, Piñones, Casa Bacardí, the Puerto Rico Convention Center, Frutos del Guacabo and DISTRITO T-Mobile are already open.
