Saint Lucia says it is experiencing a “strong” post-pandemic tourism recovery.

The island has achieved around 80 percent of its pre-pandemic stay over arrival numbers, as compared to the same period in 2019, according to tourism officials.

And now Saint Lucia is projecting a “well-performing” fall season, too.

That will be supported by increased airlift out of Canada, including nonstop service on Sunwing, Air Canada and WestJet, officials said at the recent CTO meeting in Grand Cayman.

Airlift from the all-important US market continues from markets like Atlanta, Boston, Charlotte, Dallas, Miami, New Jersey, New York, and Philadelphia.

At the beginning of this month, Saint Lucia officially removed all of its travel health restrictions.

That means visitors don’t need to show proof of vaccination or testing in order to enter the country.
