ETF is expanding to the Caribbean.

Charter firm ETF Airways is launching a new airline in the Caribbean, Caribbean Journal has learned.

The company has announced plans to bring a new carrier to the region, based in Martinique.

It’s called Fly-Wi, and the company will begin with one Boeing 737-800 airline, with the first flights set to kick off in the fourth quarter of this year.

Fly-Wi will be flying “scheduled routes in the Caribbean,” ETF said.

ETF has tapped Samuel Vivares, former regional director for Corsair in the West Indies, to represent the airline, joined by ETF CEO Stjepan Bedic.

ETF says it is already in talks for further expansion, with plans to add two more Boeing 737s.

The aim is to establish a “a permanent presence of our brand in the French overseas,” the company said in a statement.
