A Rum Roundtable in Barbados

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - July 29, 2022

Barbados’ premier event for rum aficionados is back again for 2022, Caribbean Journal has learned.

The Rummelier Roundtable, a rum event for connoisseurs produced by the Royal Rum Society, will run this year from Oct, 5-9 in Barbados.

It’s an action-packed series of events, including visits to three of the Caribbean’s premier rum distilleries: Mount Gay, West Indies and St Nicholas Abbey.

That’s along with rum education seminars, rum shop stops and rum-fueled dinners.

“It’s a one of a kind rum experience,” the RRS says. “Everyone better gear up, because this year we are taking it to the next level. We are not only recreating everything about our inaugural event last year in November but adding some fantastic surprises, tours and programs.”

There are just 40 slots available.

The Royal Rum Society leads a global network of rum lovers, aiming to educate the general public about rum through its “Certified Rummelier Program,” the industry’s leading rum certification program.
