Jamaica’s Round Hill Planning “Rebrand”

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - July 10, 2022

Jamaica’s Round Hill Hotel and Villas is planning a “total rebrand,” according to the property.

The iconic hotel outside of Montego Bay is planning an “upcoming transition and rebrand,” it said, and has hired a new director of sales and marketing to lead that push.

The property has tapped veteran Caribbean marketing executive Cahterine Ryan as its new director of sales and marketing.

Ryan will “assume a crucial role in continuing the legacy of Round Hill as the property takes an essential step into the future,” according to a statement.

Round Hill said it was preparing for a “total rebrand.”

“We are delighted to welcome Catherine to the Round Hill team, ahead of the exciting plans we have for the future,” said Josef Forstmayr, Managing Director of Round Hill. “Catherine brings years of experience and crucial knowledge of the Caribbean to the property, which will help the resort seamlessly move into its next chapter.”

Ryan’s career includes director of sales and marketing posts at properties including Parrot Cay, Sailrock and Beach Enclave in Turks and Caicos, along with the former Ritz-Carlton in Jamaica.

In the role, she will assist in developing revenue-driven programming and will work on enhancing guest experience.

She succeeds longtime Round Hill Director of Sales and Marketing Linda Lawrence, who is among the most respected hotel marketing executives in the wider Caribbean.
