Curacao Has a New “Golf Pass”

It’s one of the Caribbean’s under-the-radar golf destinations: the Dutch Caribbean island of Curacao.

Indeed, Curacao is actually home to three 18-hole golf courses, including one designed by the legendary Pete Dye.

And while golf has long been an afterthought, the island’s tourism officials are now launching a new push to promote the sport.

The first result? The new “Curacao Golf Pass,” which gives travelers the chance to play all three courses on one vacation.

For $295, golfers can play 18 holes at the Old Quarry (Dye’s course), Blue Bay Curacao and the Curacao Golf and Squash Club.

Officials say the next step is new golf initiatives, including plans for “international tournaments.”

It could help bring more American travelers to the island, something the island has struggled to do for years.
