Saint Lucia Reporting “Overwhelming” Demand for Carnival
Saint Lucia Carnival is making its return this year after a two-year hiatus amid the pandemic, and tourism officials say the demand is “overwhelming.”
Caribbean Airlines has already added more flights from Trinidad to tap the regional market for the event, which kicks off on July 12 and runs through July 19.
““Saint Lucia Carnival is an experience not to be missed. We are most excited about the vibrant display
and reintegration of our cultures. As such, the Saint Lucia Tourism Authority (SLTA) continues to
pursue its airlift strategy focused on the objectives- retain, sustain, and regrow. With an uptick in intra-
regional travel, we are looking to the Caribbean market this Summer.”
It’s part of a broader Caribbean relaunch of carnival events, with high-profile carnivals in destinations like Antigua and St John set for their return.
