American Airlines is relaunching service between New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport and Bermuda.

The service, which has not operated for more than two years, will resume in November.

That will complement American’s existing Bermuda service from cities including Miami, Philadelphia and Charlotte.

The flights will resume Nov. 3, operating daily on American’s Boeing 737-800 aircraft.

“We are proud to continue to expand our footprint in the Caribbean with more flying to the destinations that our customers value the most, operating this year up to 151 daily flights to 35 destinations in the region,” said Jose María Giraldo, American’s Managing Director for Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean. “With the return of our New York service, this winter we look forward to operating 28 weekly flights to Bermuda, strengthening our position as a leading airline in the Caribbean.”
