One of the top culinary destinations in The Bahamas has a new sommelier.

The Rosewood Baha Mar in The Bahamas, which is home to several top eateries including Daniel Boulud’s only Caribbean eatery, has named Joaquin Torres its new head sommelier.

Torres, who has been with Rosewood since 2011, has been tasked with expanding the hotel’s wine cellar, supplying outlets including Costa, Cafe Boulud, Manor Bar and The Library.

At the hotel, his role is to curate “unique wine selections for each dining venue, training his staff to bolster their wine service and knowledge, designing experiences, and serving as a professional guide to guests,” according to a statement from the property.

Nassau is also home to Graycliff, the luxury hotel that’s home to the third-largest wine cellar in the world.
