Saint Lucia just posted its strongest month for tourism since the onset of the pandemic.

The island welcomed 32,110 arrivals in March, the highest month of arrivals since the island first reopened for tourism in June 2020.

Saint Lucia is reporting a total of 32,110 arrivals in the first quarter.

Around 56.2 percent of that total came from the United States, with around 45,400 visitors.

That was followed by 24,500 travelers from the United Kingdom, about 30.3 percent of all stayover arrivals in the aquarter.

“The numbers are really encouraging and a testament to the people who work tirelessly in the tourism industry in Saint Lucia,” said Saint Lucia Tourism Minister Dr Ernest Hilaire. “Our aim is to ensure that the growth trajectory is sustainable and benefits our people through employment and income generation as well as providing the best experience for our visitors .”

The island recently eased its entry protocols for travelers, waiving testing for fully vaccinated visitors.
