Southwest Airlines is adding more flights to Cuba, Caribbean Journal has learned.
The low-cost carrier is ramping up its flights to Cuba from South Florida beginning in the first week of May.
That will include three daily roundtrip flights between Fort Lauderdale and Havana, according to a statement from the company.
That same week, Southwest will add another roundtrip on Saturdays from between Tampa and Havana. That will complement existing daily service, meaning a total of seven flights between Tampa and Havana each week.
“The carrier’s popular value in providing authorized travel between the U.S. and Cuba is available to more Southwest Customers,” Southwest said in a statement.
