JW Marriott has opened another new hotel in Mexico, Caribbean Journal has learned.

The new JW Marriott Hotel Guadalajar opened its doors this week, set in the Guadalajara Country Club area.

The new hotel, which is managed by Aimbridge Prisma and developed by Grupo Favier, has a total of 191 rooms and suites, including a presidential suite with its very own lap pool.

The property was designed by Javier Sordo Madaleno, with interiors by Arquitectura de Interiores.

“We are proud to welcome JW Marriott Hotel Guadalajara into our growing portfolio of remarkable hotels in Mexico,” said Bruce Rohr, Global Brand Leader, JW Marriott. “Guadalajara is a bustling, dynamic, cultural center of Mexico, one which sees business and leisure travelers from around the world. It is our hope to offer these guests a respite from the outside world, in a modern, luxurious setting for travelers who wish to nourish their mind, body, and spirit at every turn.”

The property has several dining concepts, including a tequila-focused lounge called Agave Bar, an Executive Lounge and Zibu, an eatery by noted chef Eduardo Palazuelos.
