Canadian carrier Air Transat is ramping up its flight service to the Dominican Republic this year.

The company will be relaunching flights to three destinations in the country this summer: Puerto Plata, Punta Cana and Samana.

The carrier will also be flying to Puerto Plata year round, with service from both Montreal and Toronto, according to the Dominican Republic Ministry of Tourism.

Transit will also be flying year-round from Montreal to Punta Cana and Samana, and year round from Toronto to Puerto Plata and Punta Cana.

“The numbers tell us clearly that with the gradual lifting of travel restrictions worldwide, people are more ready than ever to plan their next trip,” said Joseph Adamo, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer, Transat. “The outlook for the summer season is favorable, and our abundant air offering, which includes the vast majority of our pre-pandemic destinations as well as exciting new routes, is enabling us to respond to the significant pent-up demand. This surge in demand has also allowed us to increase capacity on certain key routes between now and the end of the winter season.”
