How to Stay in a “Castle” in Grenada

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - February 15, 2022

Villa vacations have surged amid the pandemic, with more and more travelers seeking the space, comfort and seclusion of a private villa.

But one Grenada hotel is looking to up the ante — with a castle.

It’s called Azzurra Castle, and it’s a large “castle” in L’Anse Aux Epines now part of the Mount Cinnamon Hotel and Beach Club portfolio.

The six-bedroom, 25,500-square-foot castle is set beyond Moorish-style walled gardens, with views o the private shore and the bay.

That’s along with amenities like a cinema/media room; a private deck with access to a small beach and a courtyard with a central swimming pool.

The property blends a “Caribbean escape with a vacation fit for a royal,” Mount Cinnamon says.
