Southwest Airlines Is Bringing Back On-Board Beverages

Southwest Airline is bringing back its on-board beverage options, the carrier said this week.

The company had paused its full menu of on-board beverages since the onset of the pandemic in March 2020.

“Customers have expressed a desire for more beverage options, so we’re delighted to restore additional on-board offerings as a part of the Southwest Hospitality that our Customers know and love,” said Tony Roach, Vice President Customer Experience and Customer Relations.

On flights of more than 176 miles or more — meaning that will include most of its Caribbean flights — Southwest will be offering its full menu of soft drinks and it will be restoring alcoholic beverages.

That means everything from sparkling wine and Cabernet Sauvignon to Jack Daniels and Bacardi, among others.

The changes will take effect Feb. 16, 2022, according to a statement from Southwest Airlines.
